Welcome to the Aviation battalion located at the Lynchburg Regional Airport in Lynchburg Virginia. We are a group of people from all walks of life, different age groups with different interest, but with one thing in common, a love for our country and communities. We give our time and skills to serve those who have a dear one serving the nation oversees with the arm forces, or those who’s livelihood is threatened by a flood or natural disaster.
The Aviation battalion is a specialized unit whom is called upon to assist with air surveillance of a disaster scene or to find someone who might be lost away form home.
Our mission is “to provide safe, secure and timely fixed-wing aerial services as requested to the Virginia National Guard and other state agencies.”
